Esteve, Parc Científic de Barcelona

JP Group has fitted out Esteve’s Cluster Laboratories building in Barcelona Science Park with Adapta, AMT and Qbuc after winning the project through a public tender.

The JG Group proposal was rated positively as it featured customised adaptation of all workstations using Adapta, even for those stations that were designed in keeping with the building’s perimeter façade and had to overcome obstacles such as columns and other structural elements.
Other manufacturers that took part in the tenders presented proposals based on standard modular products that did not achieve the level of product customisation that the customer wanted.

The customer selected the combination in beech and aluminium to give the facilities a more contemporary look, and completed the fit-out with furniture specific to its activity through Flores Valles, a company specialising in laboratory equipment.

The Parc employs 2,200 people, most of them research staff. It accommodates over 50 companies (mainly laboratories) such as Esteve, and three major research institutes:
