Who hasn’t heard that an untidy desk is a sign of an untidy mind? Although some studies relate untidiness with greater creativity, when we’re talking about offices, an untidy workspace is synonymous with wasted time, lack of concentration, inefficiency and lack of comfort.
To find solutions to this problem, JG Group has conducted a study on the use of storage systems in the workspace, the findings of which reveal that office furniture design doesn’t match users’ real needs.
Lack of space, clutter or finding things hard to reach are some of the problems reported by the study participants. Hanging one’s coat on a chair or leaving one’s handbag on the floor or on the table are common practices in offices, which show the shortcomings of current storage systems.
Mobile phones, agendas, headphones, Tupperware... room for many of these personal items needs to be made among office material. The needs of office staff have changed and it’s necessary to design functional furniture adapted to the new times.
As a result of this study, and under the motto “A place for everything, and everything in its place”, JG Group has developed a new series of storage solutions that facilitate the use of space and organisation of personal objects, providing a larger work surface and keeping everything needed at hand.
