Compañía General Cárnica “Càrnia” inaugurates its new and emblematic headquarters that house its general administration together with the rest of the production facilities, occupying an area of more than 20.000 m2 in Mercabarna.

These new facilities, equipped with 2.500 m2 of cold storage, allow to unify all its production centres to achieve greater efficiency and better service for its customers: butchers, supermarkets, collectives, bars, restaurants and large distributors.

Its offices, designed by Marferrer/studio, have been furnished mainly with Adapta+ and 60/40, complementing the personnel archive with LP and CP in Titanium.

The idea that was developed aims for the creation of a great work space that is welcoming as well as functional. An environment where the combination of materials (dark grey, wood, white background and concrete) together with the lighting (warm and very focalized on the work spaces), delivers this result.

The furniture that was incorporated supplies the warmth of wood to create a welcoming atmosphere, less like an "office", since an industrial warehouse of this size makes it difficult to achieve a warm atmosphere. This aspect received special attention in order to make the team feel good and be able to share the premises comfortably and in a welcoming manner.

The combination of the 60/40 cabinets in aurora oak and anthracite results in greater lightness in the environment and achieves better integration with the surroundings.

Flexibility at the work stations has also been an important requirement by the owners. It is for this reason that special large-size tables were created (680x160cm) where the work stations may vary according to their needs.

Càrnia faces the future at its new premises with the enthusiasm and the experience gained through their 100 years of history.
